Holbox Island is located a three hours bus trip of Cancún, in the north-east of the peninsula Yucatan. There is only one village on the 35 km long and 1 to 2 km wide island. Almost half of the 2000 habitants are children. The islanders are living of tourism and fishing and are very cheerful and warm hearted people. On Holbox you will find very genuine and relaxing places.

The roads are sandy and peaceful, giving the village a very special character and inviting you to walk barefoot. This tiny island is a panorama of wild, mysterious scenery and colour contrasts.

Discover by foot or by bicycle the endless, white sandy beaches, the beautiful flora and the variety of animals like dolphins, turtles, whale sharks, flamingos and around 150 other species of birds. It is as well a paradise for shell collectors and photographers.

Ecological tourism provides the opportunity to interact with ecosystems, live harmoniously with nature and engage in activities which relax the mind and spirit.
