



Holbox
Island is located a three hours bus trip of Cancún, in the north-east of
the peninsula Yucatan. There is only one village on the 35 km long and 1
to 2 km wide island. Almost half of the 1800 habitants are children. The
islanders are living of fishing and are very cheerful and warm hearted
people. On Holbox you will find very genuine and relaxing places.
The roads are sandy and peaceful, giving the village a very special
character and inviting you to walk barefoot. This tiny island is a
panorama of wild, mysterious scenery and colour contrasts.
Discover by foot or by bicycle the
endless, white sandy beaches, the beautiful flora and the variety of
animals like dolphins, turtles, whale sharks, flamingos and around 150
other species of birds. It is as well a paradise for shell collectors
and photographers.
